Seems to be a looming question what with ratings down this year, new Paula gaffs, and then this week the seemingly overt effort of Jason Castro to get "voted off the island" (and check out Ryan's last remark ... and, Jason's obvious joy ... bet that's true).
But, still ... it's one of the few ratings juggernauts left on TV ...

Frankly, I thought it jumped the shark by existing. Of course, as perhaps the only American never to have seen the program, I may be in no position to have an opinion, but that's never stopped me before, so ...
American Idol is nothing more nor less than a relatively mean-spirited rip-off of the Amateur Hour or Star Search. I'd rather watch paint dry or pasta water boil - and I have.
Come on shark!
