Sad Day.

Larry Wallace was a friend to many here in Detroit advertising circles.

His untimely passing is a simple reminder for all of us, I guess.

"Enjoy every sandwich ..."

Larry - you will be missed.

One Friday back in the 90's I was chugging away on a media plan. It was Friday at 4:45p. Needed some info on Gourmet. Picked up the blow horn and dialed Larry. He picked up and immediately said , "ahh didn't think you catch this old rep in the office on a Friday ??" He was the exception not the rule. You lazy reps should wake up and put the clubs away.

Seriously YPTD who plays golf anymore and for that matter who takes a lunch! We are trying to survive in a world where agency types schedule appointments and cancel, treat reps like second class citizens and negotiate deals down to the bare bones so they look good. I do understand we are all trying to keep our jobs but what happened to respect and win, win and getting creative and taking chances? Have you tried it on this side of the desk especially during an economic crisis...Lazy far from it!
